In the mountains of southwest China, people use an old method called wax-resist dyeing to make indigo batik fabric. First, they ferment indigo plants to make a dark blue dye. Then, they draw patterns on cotton cloth using warm wax. The wax stops the dye from coloring those parts. The cloth is dipped in the dye, often many times to make it darker. After dyeing, they heat the cloth to remove the wax. The result is white patterns on deep blue fabric, inspired by their land, culture, and everyday life.
This garment is designed to be comfortable all year round. On cooler days, layer it over your favorite sweater to stay cozy, and when the weather warms, wear it alone to let its light fabric breathe. When you’re not wearing it —hang it on your wall and let it bring a touch of artistry and beauty to your living room.
One size – XS to L.
